Studioli presents SOPRACOPPI, a work-intervention by Enzo Cucchi in the outdoor spaces of Studioli, on the occasion of the exhibition Studioli En Plein Air.
A single ceramic roof tile.
The work aligns with the artist’s long-standing reflection on the necessity of breaking continuity and repetition.
Cucchi intervenes by interrupting the visual rhythm of the roof tiles, replacing an original element with a ceramic copy painted by the artist.
This substitution disrupts the apparent uniformity of the surface, where replacement becomes fracture, with an eye turned toward the sky — a recurring symbol in the artist’s work.
